Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed when users access and purchase TeknoParrot subscriptions via teknoparrot.com.

Data Controllers

Payment Processor / Merchant of Record

For New Platform purchases, payment processing and merchant-of-record services may be provided by a third-party payment provider (e.g., Paddle) according to their terms and privacy policy.

For Legacy purchases, payment processing may be handled by Boss Level Oy and/or its payment providers depending on the checkout flow in use at the time.

Categories of Personal Data

Depending on platform and user actions, we may process:

• Account identifiers (email, account ID)
• Purchase data (subscription type, dates, invoices/receipts, payment status)
• Customer support communications (messages, attachments you send)
• Technical/security data (IP address, device/browser metadata, logs)
• Compliance data (records needed for accounting, tax, fraud prevention)
• Online game data (Initial D online: machine login records, online rank settings, chosen names, bans and appeals; see Initial D online)

We do not intentionally collect special category data. Please avoid including sensitive data in support messages unless necessary.

Purposes and Legal Bases (GDPR Art. 6)

We process personal data for:

• Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)):
  • Create/maintain accounts, deliver subscriptions, provide customer support
• Legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)):
  • Accounting, tax, statutory record-keeping
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)):
  • Security, fraud prevention, service reliability, dispute handling
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) where applicable:
  • Optional marketing communications (if implemented)

Data Sharing / Recipients

We may share data with:

• Payment providers (e.g., Paddle) for billing/transactions (New Platform)
• Hosting and infrastructure providers used to operate the website/services
• Professional advisors when necessary (accounting, legal)
• Authorities where required by law
• Other players of TeknoParrot online services: your online rank (PEASANT, or your supporter rank if you choose to show it) and the names you choose to show

We do not sell personal data.

Initial D online

If you request an Initial D online login (a PCB ID and a secret) on your Online Profile page or in TeknoParrotUI, we process the following to run nationwide matchmaking for Initial D Arcade Stage 4, 5, 6 AA, 7 AAX and 8 Infinity on the official TeknoParrot server:

• Machine records: your PCB ID, its secret (stored encrypted; it lets your PC sign in and is shown only to you), when it was created, last seen online and last used from another PC or Windows installation, and whether it was removed or replaced. One PC per account.
• Online profile: your choice of what other players see and when you made it, and the store name and nickname you choose.
• Bans and appeals: the ban, its public reason and end date, staff notes, and the text of your appeal and our answer.
• Account activity records: requesting, showing, regenerating or removing your login, changes to your settings, appeals and staff actions, with the time and IP address. Kept for 365 days.

What the game server receives: your PCB ID, a pseudonymous account reference, your rank, your visibility settings and chosen names, and any ban with its public reason. It never receives your e-mail address, user name, payment data or subscription dates. The game server keeps its own security records (PCB ID, IP address, sign-ins, matches and rule violations) for 90 days, and records of who raced whom for 30 days.

What other players see: only your live opponent in a match sees your online rank and the names you chose. Free accounts race as PEASANT, the network's default rank. Supporters can choose to show their supporter rank to rivals; until they choose, and if they choose to hide it, rivals see PEASANT as for every free account. You can change this choice at any time on your Initial D online page.

Legal bases: providing the online service you requested (Art. 6(1)(b)), including showing the default rank and your chosen names to your opponent; security, cheat and bot prevention and enforcing the rules (Art. 6(1)(f)); and your consent for showing your supporter rank to other players (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time on the same page.

Removal: you can remove your PCB ID at any time. When you delete your account, its Initial D online data is deleted from the website at once and from the game server within 24 hours.

International Transfers

Personal data may be processed in Finland (Boss Level Oy), the UAE (Boss Level FZE), the UK (payment provider), and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, transfers are protected using appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for:

• Providing the service and support
• Complying with legal/accounting retention requirements
• Resolving disputes and enforcing agreements

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability.
